This is your shot at becoming the “New Jersey King
of Campus Comedy!” Join us for a wildly entertaining event where
you can perform your very own zany stand-up comedy routine!
The
2007 NJ Comedy Festival proved to be an exciting opportunity and entertaining event for both students and audience members
across the state, and it’s not something anybody should miss!
In its inaugural year, the NJ Comedy Festival gave 87 students the opportunity to compete against one another
performing their own stand-up comedy routines. Three finalists from each Qualifying Event were chosen by a panel of
Celebrity Judges on Originality, Stage Presence, Material and Audience Reaction.
27 Finalists went on to compete in the championship competition at
Monmouth University. This year the Finals will take place on November 15, 2008 at MU. Also, this
year in addition to crowning the "NJ King of Campus Comedy" we will choose 2nd and 3rd place finalists.
The 1st Annual
NJ Comedy Festival had some pretty great prizes including a $1,000 grand prize, a scholarship to a renowned comedy school,
and will also have the opportunity to perform an opening act at one of New York’s leading comedy clubs.
